AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer – Hamburg

About the role

Airbus is seeking an AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to join its Software Engineering department within the Information Management division in Hamburg. You will work on enterprise API and integration platforms that support more than 300 APIs and data‑exchange flows, ensuring high availability, security, and performance of the cloud and Kubernetes environments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and evolve Kubernetes infrastructures on AWS EKS for API and event‑driven platforms.
• Design, implement and maintain a Disaster Recovery plan, including 24/7 on‑call rotation.
• Guarantee platform availability, performance, and security.
• Develop, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Continuously optimise resource consumption and cloud costs.

Required profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Several years of proven experience as a DevOps Engineer in Agile/DevOps environments.
• Deep technical expertise in AWS, Kubernetes (EKS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Strong knowledge of cloud monitoring tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana and Splunk.
• Ability to design simple, reliable, performant and secure cloud architectures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
