Backend Engineer

About the role

We are building a self‑maintaining context repository that structures, updates, and secures company knowledge for AI agents. As a Backend Engineer you will design and own the core systems that keep this knowledge consistent, auditable, and permission‑aware at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design the data model and database systems that power the context repository.
• Build versioning, change‑review, and automatic reconciliation mechanisms.
• Own the sync infrastructure that reliably loads and reconciles data from all sources.
• Optimize retrieval times for hybrid search and large‑scale ranking.
• Develop permission‑aware APIs with security as a first principle.
• Write clean, well‑tested code that scales from early partners to thousands of enterprise users.

Required profile

• Passion for distributed systems, consistency, concurrency, caching, and queues.
• Fluent in TypeScript and/or Python with strong asynchronous programming and API design skills.
• Deep knowledge of databases, preferably graph or vector stores, and their role in modern AI stacks.
• Commitment to reliability and security, delivering features that withstand load.
• Thrives in an early‑stage, low‑ego, high‑ownership environment with direct product influence.
