Backend Software Engineer – Remote (Germany)

About the role

Codesphere is a Virtual Cloud Provider from Germany building the future of sovereign cloud infrastructure. Their platform gives enterprises and governments full sovereignty without sacrificing modern cloud capabilities.

Key responsibilities

• Own complex features end‑to‑end, from discovery and planning through design, implementation, testing and maintenance.
• Conduct code and technical design reviews, raising the quality bar across the team.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and growth.
• Shape the collaborative developer cloud by building features such as Public API, IAM, Secrets Management, CI integrations, Web IDE, deployment technology and monitoring.

Required profile

• Several years of professional software development experience, preferably in web or distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and/or Go.
• Solid understanding of SQL databases, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and micro‑service API design.
• Degree in a relevant field or comparable qualification and strong computer‑science fundamentals.
