Biomedical Equipment Technician

About the role

The Biomedical Equipment Technician will support the 86th Medical Group by maintaining, repairing, and testing a wide range of medical devices to ensure safe and reliable operation for patients and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled inspections, maintenance, repairs, and testing of biomedical equipment.
• Disassemble malfunctioning devices, replace defective parts, and reassemble equipment.
• Conduct preventive maintenance according to manufacturer specifications.
• Document all maintenance activities and equipment updates in detailed records.
• Test, evaluate, and classify equipment for serviceability and disposition.
• Ensure proper equipment use to protect patients and staff from hazards.
• Stay current with technical manuals and training sessions.

Required profile

• Associate degree in biomedical equipment technology or at least three years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in English for effective communication.
• Understanding of electronics, regulations, and technical data interpretation.
• Ability to perform moderate physical effort and pass a color‑vision test.
• Capability to work in various environments.
