Business Development – Food Ingredients (Remote, DACH)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Business Developer to lead sales of food ingredients across the DACH region. The position is fully remote, offering you entrepreneurial freedom to shape your own sales strategy and grow a dedicated portfolio of food additives within a stable, international distributor.
Key responsibilities
- Drive regional sales and business development for food chemicals and ingredients in the DACH market.
- Develop and execute a market and customer strategy, building a robust pipeline and expanding the customer base.
- Manage key accounts, negotiate contracts, and win new customers to increase market share.
- Collaborate with global and regional Product Managers and attend industry events to deepen relationships.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of sales and marketing experience in food chemicals or ingredients within Europe.
- Proven track record in business development, account management, and revenue growth.
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills with fluency in English; German, Polish or other regional languages are a plus.
Required skills
- In‑depth knowledge of food additives such as acidulants, amino acids, preservatives, antioxidants, hydrocolloids, phosphates, sweeteners and plant‑based proteins.
- Proficient use of CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce or similar).
- Advanced skills in MS Office for reporting and analysis.
