Business Development Manager – German Market (Remote)

About the role

Temu is expanding its presence across Europe and seeks an experienced Business Development Manager to lead growth in the German market. This fully remote position will focus on building strategic partnerships with local merchants, manufacturers, and brands, helping them succeed on the Temu marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage partnerships with German sellers and brands, curating categories that match local consumer demand.
• Advise merchants on market positioning, product planning, and operational strategies to scale their businesses on the platform.
• Analyze market trends and category performance to identify growth opportunities and launch data‑driven initiatives.
• Leverage and expand local industry networks to grow Temu’s supplier base in Germany.
• Occasionally travel for merchant visits and industry events.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in e‑commerce, brand management, or platform operations with proven success in the German market.
• Strong existing network of German sellers, vendors, or manufacturers.
• Data‑driven mindset with solid analytical and project‑management capabilities.
• Strategic thinking, problem‑solving ability, and resilience under pressure.
• Native or C2‑level German proficiency and business‑level English; Mandarin is a plus.
