About the role

As a Business Development Manager for Tesla’s Semi truck program, you will build and maintain relationships with fleet customers, understand their operational needs, and guide them through vehicle and charging infrastructure deployment. You will act as the primary point of contact from initial lead qualification through on‑boarding, commissioning, and delivery.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage individual fleet accounts and associated sites.
  • Identify leads and convert them into signed sales contracts.
  • Evaluate customer requirements to ensure the Semi fits their duty cycles and operational constraints.
  • Provide vehicle and charging specifications and coordinate with infrastructure teams for site readiness.
  • Relay customer feedback to program and engineering teams.
  • Negotiate sales contracts and support government‑funded projects.
  • Supply market insights to inform Tesla’s growth strategy for the Semi.

Required profile

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage senior fleet managers and government agencies.
  • Deep understanding of the commercial vehicle landscape and fleet operating environments.
  • Experience managing complex, multi‑stakeholder projects from concept to delivery.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally with vehicle build, charging, policy, and engineering teams.
