Buyer – Furniture Sourcing & Product Development

About the role

As a Buyer you will join Westwing’s high‑performing team responsible for planning, developing and sourcing the Westwing Collection furniture. You will own the full buying cycle – from identifying and onboarding new suppliers to driving product development, negotiating commercial terms and managing order placement – while working closely with Creative, Quality, Supply Chain and Merchandising teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the sourcing strategy for new suppliers.
• Lead product development initiatives in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Negotiate prices, terms and contracts to optimise margin and value.
• Manage order placements, tracking and procurement processes, ensuring compliance with internal standards and sustainability targets.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to guarantee product quality, timely delivery and alignment with the brand vision.
• Utilise AI and automation tools to streamline workflows.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in buying, sourcing or procurement, preferably in furniture, home & living or e‑commerce.
• Strong commercial mindset with proven negotiation expertise.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Passion for design, trends and product innovation.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus.
