Buyer (m/f/d)

About the role

The Buyer will independently manage the full operational procurement cycle for a manufacturing environment. You will work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective acquisition of goods and services.

Key responsibilities

• Handle the end-to-end operational procurement process, from supplier selection to order completion.
• Select, support and develop national and international suppliers.
• Request, compare and negotiate offers within defined guidelines.
• Ensure procurement complies with cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Maintain master data and process purchase orders in the ERP system.
• Manage complaints in collaboration with Quality Assurance and Logistics.
• Support procurement strategy implementation and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Analyse market trends and identify optimisation potential.

Required profile

• Completed commercial training (e.g., industrial clerk) or comparable qualification.
• Several years of operational procurement experience, preferably in manufacturing.
• Structured, reliable and independent working style.
• Strong communication and collaborative mindset.
• Excellent organisational skills with a good sense of deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with ERP systems.
