Buyer – Non Production Materials (Germany)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Buyer to manage the procurement of non‑production materials and services for our German plants. The role involves analysing regional demand, supporting procurement strategy development, and ensuring reliable supply for operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Procure non‑production materials and services in line with plant requirements.
• Conduct regional demand and market analyses to inform purchasing decisions.
• Develop, optimise, and implement procurement strategies.
• Consolidate purchasing requirements and manage regional tenders.
• Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and contract conditions with suppliers.
• Maintain accurate records of purchasing, pricing, and supplier information.
• Handle escalations and coordinate communication within complaint processes.
• Collaborate with Operations, Maintenance, Controlling, Project Teams and other departments.
• Support continuous improvement of purchasing processes.

Required profile

• University degree in a technical or commercial field, or equivalent vocational education.
• Previous purchasing experience is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of supply‑chain and procurement processes.
• Basic knowledge of contract drafting.
• High cost awareness and a structured way of working.
• Business‑fluent German (mandatory) and good command of English.
