CAD Design Engineer

About the role

The Exploration Company is building Nyx, a modular reusable space vehicle. We are looking for a skilled CAD Design Engineer to create and refine the physical architecture of our spacecraft using advanced CAD tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed CAD models of the vehicle and its subsystems in Siemens NX or equivalent.
• Lead the design of aerospace components, influencing architecture, aeroshape, equipment accommodation, and material selection.
• Iterate models based on thermo‑mechanical analysis, system trade‑offs, and mass‑budget constraints.
• Collaborate with thermal, structural, materials, and manufacturing engineers to ensure compliance with mission environments and production limits.
• Maintain configuration management and documentation of CAD data.
• Support co‑engineering sessions with propulsion, avionics, GNC, and other system teams.
• Define volume allocations, clearance specifications, and contribute to CAD process improvements.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in mechanical, aerospace or manufacturing engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD Design Engineer.
• Proficiency with Siemens NX or comparable CAD software.
• Strong knowledge of aerospace vehicle design, materials, and manufacturing standards.
• Fluent English; German or French is a plus.
