Certified Accountant – Immediate start in Cologne

About the role

ASQ International is hiring two experienced accountants to support the finance department of an established international school in Cologne. The positions start immediately and involve managing the school’s financial records in full compliance with German tax law.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file financial statements and reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to German accounting and tax regulations.
• Manage payroll, tax filings and related statutory obligations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with school management and other departments to support financial decision‑making.

Required profile

• Several years of professional accounting experience within the German accounting system.
• Strong knowledge of German tax law (deutsches Steuerrecht) and related regulations.
• Fluency in German and English.
• Experience working in an international or educational environment is desirable.
