Chemical Plant Operator – Rotating Shift

About the role

Join BASF’s Agricultural Solutions division as a Chemical Plant Operator in our Thiuram/Sulfur Complex and Xemium production units. You will work on a rotating shift schedule, operating and monitoring production plants both from the control room and on‑site, ensuring safe and efficient manufacturing of crop‑protection intermediates.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor production equipment from the control room and directly on the shop floor.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and minor repairs on plant machinery.
• Document all operational activities accurately and maintain up‑to‑date records.
• Strictly follow safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure continuous production flow.

Required profile

• Completed vocational training as a Chemical Plant Operator or a comparable qualification.
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Reliable, conscientious work ethic and ability to work in a team.
• Excellent communication skills in German.
