Chief Information Security Officer (CISO)

About the role

Redcare Pharmacy is looking for a senior security leader to embed security throughout its AI‑first, multi‑country e‑pharmacy platform. Reporting to the CIO, the CISO will shape a modern security strategy that supports rapid innovation while protecting customer trust.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate security into the entire product lifecycle, establishing a DevSecOps‑driven Secure SDLC with threat modelling, security engineering and automated controls.
• Promote a platform‑security mindset, ensuring cloud‑native, app‑first and AI initiatives are secure by design.
• Reduce friction for engineering teams through automation, smart guardrails and scalable security patterns.
• Drive pragmatic risk management aligned with business growth and regulatory compliance.
• Act as the enterprise security owner, advising the CIO, IT leadership and Board on risk, resilience and strategic investments.
• Lead and develop a high‑performing security team of eight, fostering ownership and collaboration across engineering and business functions.

Required profile

• Proven leadership of security in digital platform or product‑centric environments, including traditional GRC structures.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, cloud‑native environments, security engineering and product security integration.
• Strategic thinker with hands‑on depth, balancing risk awareness with commercial realities.
• Pragmatic, solution‑oriented leader who views security as an enabler for teams and customers.
• Experience securing AI‑driven capabilities, data protection, model risk and responsible AI usage.
