Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Executive Operations Leader

About the role

Productivity Engineering, a leading ASIC design and manufacturing company within the SERMA Group, is expanding its German operations. The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will drive operational excellence across engineering delivery, production support, and supply chain management, ensuring high‑quality, on‑time delivery for demanding industrial, automotive, aerospace, telecom, and defense customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and optimise all operational activities across ASIC design execution, project delivery, manufacturing coordination, supply chain and quality management.
• Define and execute an operational strategy aligned with growth objectives and customer requirements.
• Oversee project planning, resource allocation, scheduling and operational KPIs.
• Coordinate cross‑functional teams including design, verification, test, manufacturing, supply chain and quality.
• Implement process optimisation and continuous‑improvement initiatives to boost performance.
• Strengthen supply‑chain resilience and manage semiconductor ecosystem vendors.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Build, mentor and develop high‑performing operational teams.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Semiconductor Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience in operations, industrial management, program management or engineering leadership.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams in a semiconductor, ASIC, electronics or advanced manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of the ASIC development lifecycle from specification through validation, industrialisation and production.
