Climate Asset Development Lead

About the role

CEEZER is building the infrastructure for enterprise‑grade Climate Performance Asset management, enabling large corporates to source and manage carbon credits, Energy Attribution Certificates (EAC) and Sustainable Aviation Fuel certificates (SAFc). As the Climate Asset Development Lead, you will own the strategy and execution for expanding into these assets, driving supply origination and scaling the team as the business grows.

Key responsibilities

• Set the strategy for climate performance asset supply across EAC, SAFc and the secondary carbon market.
• Evaluate and drive end‑to‑end expansion into new climate assets, from market assessment to transaction.
• Run trading of climate assets: secure supply, execute deals, negotiate prices and contracts, and structure complex transactions.
• Lead and grow the Climate Asset Development team, starting with a Climate Asset Trader and expanding as volume increases.
• Establish CEEZER’s thought leadership on EAC and SAFc, translating policy and market trends into company‑wide strategy.
• Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, registries and regulatory bodies, acting as the subject‑matter expert in client conversations.
• Collaborate with Revenue, Supply, Operations and Product teams on cross‑functional projects.
• Collect and structure data, obtain quotes and work with intelligence providers to support analysis and forecasting.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in strategy consulting, VC‑backed startups or similarly high‑performance environments.
• Experience with climate performance assets, trading or energy markets is a plus.
• Exceptional analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Executional excellence combined with the ability to take measured risks.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
• Leadership experience is a plus.
• High ownership, accountability, integrity and a willingness to learn.
• Strong business acumen and commercial drive.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, economics, finance, international relations, environmental studies or related field is a plus.
• Fluency in English and a valid work permit for Germany.
