Commercial Finance Vice President – Digital Retail Banking

About the role

As the Commercial Finance Vice President you will be at the centre of commercial decision‑making for a fast‑growing digital retail banking business in Germany. You will turn financial analysis, customer economics and performance trends into clear, actionable insight that guides investment and growth strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business workstreams to provide commercial insight, challenge assumptions and support objectives.
• Lead core planning, forecasting and performance analysis for the German retail banking unit.
• Build and maintain financial models for business cases, portfolio growth, customer economics and profitability.
• Collaborate with strategy, product, marketing, treasury and finance teams to deliver clear financial insight for decision‑making.
• Analyse performance, customer behaviour, market trends and financial drivers to identify risks and growth opportunities.
• Support pricing optimisation, product mix, marketing investment and customer segmentation initiatives.
• Develop management reporting, dashboards and presentation material for senior management and governance forums.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions, model governance and ad‑hoc finance projects.

Required profile

• Degree‑level education in finance, accounting, economics, business administration or a related field.
• Experience in commercial finance, FP&A, banking, strategy finance or corporate finance.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a track record of translating complex data into insight.
• Excellent presentation and storytelling skills for senior stakeholders.
• Commercial judgement and business acumen, especially in customer and product profitability.
