Commis de Cuisine (m/f/d) – Berlin

About the role

The Berlin Marriott Hotel is looking for a motivated Commis de Cuisine (m/f/d) to join its culinary team. You will work in a fast‑paced kitchen environment, supporting chefs in preparing high‑quality dishes that meet the brand’s standards of taste, presentation, and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling and storing fresh produce.
• Weigh, measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and quality checklists.
• Cook and assemble hot and cold dishes, operating ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Test foods for doneness, monitor quality throughout preparation, and ensure correct portioning.
• Set up and break down work stations, maintain cleanliness and disinfect kitchen areas, tools and equipment.
• Check and record temperatures of appliances and food items.
• Follow all safety, hygiene and company policies, reporting any incidents or maintenance needs.

Required profile

• Mandatory German language proficiency.
• Ability to stand, walk or sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb.
• Willingness to work in a non‑management, full‑time, on‑site role.
• Commitment to teamwork, clear communication and confidentiality of proprietary information.
