Communications Manager – DACH Region

About the role

Netflix is seeking a Communications Manager for the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) to join its Berlin team. Reporting to the Director of Communications, DACH, you will help shape Netflix’s reputation and tell the story of how the company influences the local entertainment landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communications strategies that highlight Netflix’s impact on the creative economy, innovation, and cultural trends across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
• Collaborate with internal partners in Content, Global Affairs, Publicity and Marketing to craft compelling narratives for media and key opinion leaders.
• Build and maintain relationships with German‑speaking traditional and digital media outlets and influencers.
• Lead the creation of press materials, speeches, op‑eds and thought‑leadership content in both German and English.
• Monitor media coverage, cultural trends and fandom dynamics to inform proactive communication plans.

Required profile

• 12+ years of corporate communications experience, preferably in entertainment, media or consumer‑goods sectors.
• Deep understanding of how fandom and cultural trends affect corporate reputation.
• Extensive network of contacts in German‑language media and among key opinion leaders.
• Proven track record of delivering impactful communications campaigns.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail and a results‑driven mindset.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑changing environment and give/receive constructive feedback.
• Proactive, self‑starting attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Fluency in German and English.
