Communications Specialist – DACH (12‑month Fixed‑Term)

About the role

Netflix is seeking a Communications Specialist to lead its storytelling and media outreach across Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH). Based in Berlin, you will support the Communications Director, DACH, on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract covering maternity leave.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute communication strategies that showcase Netflix’s impact on the creative economy, innovation, and local culture in the DACH region.
• Collaborate with internal partners in Content, Global Affairs, Publicity and Marketing to craft compelling narratives for media and key opinion leaders.
• Build and maintain relationships with German‑language journalists, editors and influencers, expanding the network of outlets over time.
• Draft press releases, op‑eds, briefing documents and speaking points in both German and English.
• Monitor media coverage, analyse sentiment and provide insights to refine future communication tactics.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in corporate communications, preferably within entertainment, media or consumer‑goods sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in German and English.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fast‑changing environment while contributing effectively to a team.
• Strong judgment, attention to detail and a results‑driven mindset.

Required skills

• Fluency in German and English.
