Construction Manager – Data Centre Construction

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead the delivery of a data centre construction project in Frankfurt. The role will oversee daily site activities, coordinate multiple trades, and ensure the project meets safety, quality, and schedule targets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day execution of construction activities across the project.
• Coordinate subcontractors and trade contractors to achieve programme milestones.
• Ensure works are completed safely, efficiently and in line with project specifications.
• Monitor construction progress and proactively resolve site issues.
• Synchronise activities between Civil, Structural, Architectural and MEP teams to minimise clashes.
• Review construction drawings, specifications and work packages before execution.
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain quality standards.
• Manage site logistics, sequencing and workforce planning.
• Promote and enforce a strong Health & Safety culture on site.
• Chair daily coordination meetings and collaborate with project management, design, QA/QC and commissioning teams.
• Identify programme risks and implement mitigation measures.
• Support testing, commissioning and final hand‑over activities.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Significant experience as a Construction Manager, Superintendent or Bauleiter on large‑scale projects.
• Previous delivery of Data Centre or other mission‑critical projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of multidisciplinary construction activities and package coordination.
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors in a live construction environment.
• Excellent leadership, planning and organisational skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
• Experience working within international project teams.
• Fluent German and good working knowledge of English.
