Construction Procurement Specialist – Gigafactory Berlin

About the role

As a Construction Procurement Specialist you will support the building of Tesla’s Gigafactory Berlin‑Brandenburg. Working closely with construction and planning teams, you will manage the end‑to‑end procurement of design and construction services across all phases, from core & shell to fit‑out.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full Procure‑to‑Pay cycle: tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation, and purchase order creation.
• Prepare award recommendations and present detailed offer analyses to internal management.
• Conduct contract and price negotiations, monitor contract performance and supplier relationships.
• Identify cost‑reduction opportunities through historical and forecasted spend analysis.
• Perform risk assessments of contractors and drive sourcing initiatives to increase supplier diversity.
• Collaborate with engineering and construction teams to develop work packages, validate bids, and generate statements of work.
• Lead claims, settlements and coordinate with legal representatives.
• Conduct site walks, onboard major suppliers, and track design change requests.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction‑related purchasing or construction management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Degree in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with strong practical experience.
• Experience with general contractors, construction drawings, and project controls is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical judgment and ability to multitask.
• Fluent English and at least B1 level German.
