Controlling Internship (m/f/d)

About the role

Join the Group Reporting & Performance Management department at BASF for a 3‑to‑6‑month controlling internship starting in December 2026. You will apply your academic knowledge to real‑world finance and controlling tasks, supporting budget planning, forecasting, and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in budget planning, forecasting and risk management activities.
• Analyze financial and operational data and prepare regular and ad‑hoc reports.
• Identify business developments and trends to support economic decision‑making.
• Work with IT tools and systems relevant to controlling and reporting.
• Participate in varied project assignments and collaborate with international teams.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a degree in business administration or economics with a focus on controlling or finance.
• First work experience through internships, study‑related activities or abroad is desirable.
• Above‑average academic performance and strong affinity for numbers.
• Independent work approach and commitment.
• Proficiency in English; German language skills are an advantage.
