CSA Supervisor

About the role

The CSA Supervisor will lead site safety and construction supervision for complex engineering projects across multiple sectors. Reporting to the Mercury Safety Advisor, the role ensures compliance with safety and quality standards while coordinating daily on‑site activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage site safety in partnership with the Mercury Safety Advisor, including setup, maintenance, and closure of the safety file.
• Supervise and inspect work to ensure compliance with standard procedures and CSA assignments.
• Liaise with Site QA and the CSA Package Manager to achieve “Right First Time” installations.
• Oversee cost management for the CSA package, including subcontractors, material deliveries, plant and equipment, variations, and valuations.
• Coordinate project schedule with other trades, package leads, consulting engineers, and client requirements.
• Direct day‑to‑day on‑site operations, sub‑contractor activities, and weekly progress meetings.
• Manage the Mercury “In Progress” snagging system and issue weekly punch‑list updates.
• Track labour and subcontractor hours for central reporting.
• Attend site, internal project, engineering, planning, coordination, and handover meetings.
• Close out project items such as O&M manuals, punch lists, safety files, and QA files.
• Maintain redline drawings to produce as‑installed drawings for O&M documentation.
• Implement weekly look‑ahead plans and issue internal progress reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction site safety and supervision.
• Ability to work closely with safety advisors, QA teams, and package managers.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, cost control, and subcontractor coordination.
• Experience managing safety files, quality documentation, and snagging processes.
• Excellent organizational skills to handle multiple on‑site activities and deadlines.
