Customer Service Officer

About the role

We are recruiting a Customer Service Officer for a global leader in testing, inspection, certification and assurance, based in Essen, Germany. The role is ideal for a commercially‑minded professional who enjoys working with international customers, managing multiple projects and building long‑term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Manage international certification projects for global key accounts.
• Coordinate audit planning and project delivery across multiple countries.
• Act as the primary contact for customers throughout the certification process.
• Work closely with auditors and internal teams to ensure timely, high‑quality project delivery.
• Maintain accurate project and CRM records.
• Support customer growth through relationship management and commercial awareness.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the customer experience.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a customer‑facing or project coordination role.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to build lasting customer relationships.
• Experience in certification, auditing or management systems is advantageous but not essential.
