Customer Success Manager – Agriculture

About the role

Root is Europe’s leading data collection platform for food & beverage companies, helping customers measure and reduce farm‑level emissions. As a Customer Success Manager you will own a portfolio of agricultural clients, guide them through onboarding, data collection and reporting, and ensure they realize the value of the Root platform.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact and trusted advisor for a defined customer portfolio, guiding them through key milestones such as onboarding, data collection, verification and reporting.
• Plan, manage and execute customer projects end‑to‑end, driving user engagement and high‑quality data completion at scale.
• Design and run farmer‑facing enablement sessions, including digital webinars, to improve participation and data quality.
• Collaborate with Account Management and Product teams to relay feedback, build trust‑based relationships and translate farming needs into product improvements.

Required profile

• Background in agriculture – practical farm experience, agricultural studies or work with agricultural users (advisors, cooperatives).
• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented and comfortable in fast‑changing, early‑stage environments.
• Experience in Customer Success, Operations or similar customer‑facing roles, managing processes end‑to‑end.
• People‑centric, proactive, empathetic and able to communicate clearly while focusing on customer outcomes.
• Fluent in German and English; additional languages are a plus.
• Willing to work from the Berlin office five days a week.
