Data Analyst – Remote (Germany)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to join a large‑scale analytics and digital infrastructure project in the transport and railway sector. The position is primarily remote, with occasional visits to Frankfurt, and operates within a modern AWS‑driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop event‑driven analyses using Python, Python Polars, and SQL.
• Design, build, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards, semantic models, KPIs, and advanced DAX calculations.
• Create and manage Power BI Dataflows for centralized data preparation.
• Implement data harmonisation and transformation using Power Query.
• Work with AWS Athena, Amazon S3, and data‑lake architectures to query and analyse cloud‑based data.
• Perform data‑quality validations, plausibility checks, and monitoring.
• Support governance, security, and compliance, including Row‑Level Security in Power BI.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an agile delivery environment.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on data analysis experience using Python.
• 5+ years developing Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder presentations.
• Experience in enterprise‑scale IT environments.
