Data Center Technician (L2) – Operations & Infrastructure

About the role

We are looking for a Data Center Technician (L2) to join our Frankfurt team. The role supports a mission‑critical, high‑availability environment and focuses on shift ownership, incident management, and advanced technical execution. You will be the primary escalation point, ensuring stable operations and SLA compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Own and manage 24x7 shift operations, guaranteeing service availability and KPI compliance.
• Act as the primary escalation point for P1‑P3 incidents and drive timely resolution.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting across server, storage, and network environments.
• Execute and oversee complex IMAC/R/D activities, including rack & stack, cabling, and deployments.
• Validate installations against power, space, and cooling requirements.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis for major incidents.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for issue resolution and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and support audit activities.
• Maintain accurate CMDB and asset records, and ensure proper shift handovers.
• Guide L1 technicians and identify process‑improvement opportunities.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of experience in data‑center operations or IT‑infrastructure support.
• Strong hands‑on experience with servers, storage, and networking environments.
• Advanced troubleshooting and incident‑management skills (P1‑P3).
• Experience with IMAC activities and structured cabling (fiber & copper).
• Familiarity with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and ITIL‑based processes.
• Fluent in English and German.
