Data Collection Car Driver (Munich)

About the role

Autobrains is looking for a professional driver to operate a vehicle in designated areas for data collection and customer demonstrations. You will work on the front line of autonomous‑driving research, ensuring high‑quality sensor data is captured across Europe.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the test vehicle in assigned zones while recording sensor data for AI training.
• Start, stop and manage recording devices and related software as required.
• Analyse collected data, generate daily reports and upload files to the ticket system.
• Provide feedback on data‑collection processes and suggest improvements.
• Write detailed drive reports highlighting observations and any issues.
• Verify that the vehicle and all systems are safe and operational before each shift.

Required profile

• Clean driving record and a valid German driver’s licence.
• At least 4 years of licensed driving experience; advanced training (e.g., BMW B2, Mercedes T2) is a plus.
• Good knowledge of vehicle mechanics and maintenance.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong observational skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English; communicative level German.
• Proficient with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Flexible schedule – day/night shifts, occasional weekends and overtime.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % across Europe.
• Based in Munich and able to work on a valid work permit if required.
