Data Engineer – Berlin

About the role

As the first dedicated Data Engineer at Bees & Bears, you will create the core data infrastructure that unifies siloed information and enables data‑driven decisions across Risk, Finance, Product, and Operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines for all core systems.
• Develop the company data warehouse from the ground up, including data modeling and schema design.
• Integrate data from internal applications, APIs, and third‑party services.
• Ensure data reliability, consistency, and accessibility for all teams.
• Define data ownership, naming conventions, and quality standards that scale.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python for complex queries and workflow automation.
• Hands‑on experience building end‑to‑end data pipelines.
• Proven ability to design and implement data warehouses and data models.
• Independent, self‑starter mindset with the capacity to build systems from scratch.
