Data Scientist – Community Data Team

About the role

At Atolls, a leading community‑driven shopping platform, we are looking for a Data Scientist to join the Community Data Team. You will work on applied machine‑learning projects that directly influence how millions of users discover and engage with deals, from churn prediction to sentiment analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and iterate production‑ready ML models such as churn prediction, sentiment analysis, and member segmentation using Python libraries.
• Conduct deep‑dive community analytics, including retention cohort analysis, engagement velocity, and other behavioral metrics.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators that measure user behavior and product impact.
• Perform complex statistical analyses to uncover insights and support data‑driven decisions.
• Collaborate with engineers and product teams, participate in code reviews, and gradually take independent ownership of models.

Required profile

• Proven experience in data science or applied machine learning, preferably in consumer‑facing products.
• Strong statistical background and ability to work with large, behavioral datasets.
• Excellent communication skills to translate technical findings into business recommendations.
