Desktop Support Technician (Level 1)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Level 1 Desktop Support Technician to join our on‑site team in Düsseldorf. You will be the first point of contact for end‑users, providing timely assistance for hardware, software and network issues.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver Level 1 support for desktops, laptops, printers, scanners and other peripherals.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10/11, Microsoft Office, Outlook and standard business applications.
• Perform password resets, basic Active Directory tasks and configure email accounts.
• Assist users with VPN connectivity and basic networking (IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Log, track and update incidents in the ticketing system, escalating complex cases to Level 2/3.
• Ensure resolutions meet SLA requirements.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of experience in desktop or IT support.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to work independently on‑site.

Required skills

• Windows 10 and Windows 11 operating systems.
• Microsoft Office suite and Outlook.
• Active Directory user account management.
• Basic networking concepts: IP, DNS, DHCP.
• VPN configuration and support.
• Experience with ticketing systems.
• Installation and maintenance of desktop hardware, printers and scanners.
