Director Corporate Development

About the role

Pharmanovia is seeking an experienced Director of Corporate Development to shape its future portfolio and growth strategy. Reporting to the Chief Corporate Development Officer, you will lead strategic transactions across licensing, M&A, divestments and partnerships, interacting with senior stakeholders, investors and biotech partners worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and assess commercially attractive assets, focusing on innovative medicines, specialty products and NCEs.
• Lead end‑to‑end transaction execution, including valuation, financial modelling, deal structuring, negotiation and closing.
• Build and maintain relationships with biotech companies, pharmaceutical partners, advisors and industry stakeholders to generate deal flow.
• Prepare and present investment papers, financial analyses, NBOs, board materials and strategic recommendations for senior leadership.
• Coordinate cross‑functional due diligence across Commercial, Medical, Regulatory, Legal, Finance and Supply Chain.
• Partner with Legal teams to negotiate term sheets and definitive agreements.
• Mentor junior team members and improve internal corporate development processes.
• Represent Pharmanovia at international conferences and industry events to expand the network.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in corporate development, M&A or strategic transactions within the pharmaceutical or life‑science sector.
• Strong track record of leading complex, cross‑border deals from inception to integration.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills with senior executives and external partners.
• Ability to work autonomously and influence stakeholders at a global level.
