Director of Finance

About the role

The Hoxton is opening its second hotel in Germany and needs an experienced Director of Finance to lead the financial function for the new Hamburg property. You will be responsible for accurate accounting, reporting, and financial strategy in a self‑accounting hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strong financial management within a robust control environment.
• Oversee accurate accounting records, statutory accounts and management reporting.
• Manage finance relationships with hotel operations, head office and owners.
• Lead balance‑sheet, P&L, cash management, capital planning and budgeting processes.
• Provide innovative management reporting, KPI benchmarking and balanced‑scorecard analysis.
• Optimize systems for efficiency, train users and eliminate non‑value‑adding tasks.
• Drive the planning and forecasting cycle aligned with strategic objectives.
• Support the General Manager in strategic financial planning and value‑creation opportunities.
• Develop, inspire and succession‑plan a high‑performing finance team.
