Director of Operations – Luxury Hotel

About the role

We are seeking a passionate and ambitious Director of Operations to join the leadership team of the Relais & Châteaux Hotel Bülow Palais and Bülow Residenz in Dresden. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the Rooms Division and Food & Beverage departments while shaping the future development of both properties.

Key responsibilities

• Lead Front Office, Housekeeping and Food & Beverage operations.
• Coach and develop department heads and their teams.
• Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction and service quality.
• Drive operational efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Monitor productivity and key performance indicators.
• Collaborate closely with Revenue, Sales & Marketing and Finance.
• Act as deputy to the General Manager and support strategic initiatives, including a new restaurant concept and hotel enhancements.

Required profile

• Previous leadership experience in luxury or upscale hospitality.
• Strong expertise in Rooms Division and Food & Beverage operations.
• Commercial mindset with solid operational understanding.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate and develop teams.
• Fluent in German and English.
• Willingness to relocate to Dresden.
