Director of Sourcing

About the role

The Director of Sourcing will lead a global sourcing function from Germany, shaping strategies that drive supplier excellence, cost efficiency, and supply continuity. This senior leadership position works closely with manufacturing, quality, marketing and operations to enable business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic sourcing initiatives aligned with business objectives.
• Manage supplier selection, qualification, negotiation, and contract execution.
• Oversee supplier performance frameworks, scorecards, business reviews and corrective actions.
• Partner with Quality and cross‑functional teams to plan and conduct supplier audits.
• Support product launches, material availability and production readiness with Manufacturing, Marketing and Operations.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing sourcing team, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in sourcing, procurement or supply‑chain leadership in complex international environments.
• Proven track record in supplier management, contract negotiation and strategic sourcing development.
• Strong people‑leadership skills, including coaching and performance management.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
