Embedded Software Engineer FCS & FMS

About the role

Join the Eurodrone program and develop the "brain" of Europe’s most advanced unmanned aerial system. You will work on the Flight Control System (FCS) and Flight Management System (FMS), delivering safety‑critical software that enables autonomous flight.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise high‑integrity embedded code (primarily C) for flight‑critical functions.
• Apply Model‑Based Development (MBD) workflows using tools such as ANSYS SCADE or MATLAB/Simulink to create and simulate control laws.
• Own the full software lifecycle – from architectural design and modelling to rigorous testing and verification under DO‑178C standards.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary aerospace and software teams to solve unique challenges of unmanned flight.
• Ensure compliance with safety‑critical standards and real‑time constraints.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in embedded software development.
• Proven expertise in real‑time, safety‑critical systems.
• Strong interest or experience with Model‑Based Development workflows.
• Understanding of the rigor required for DO‑178C certification.
