EMEA Labor Relations Manager – Germany Focus

About the role

The Global Corporate Employee Relations (GCER) team at Amazon is looking for a Labor Relations Manager to lead the LR strategy for Germany, one of the most regulated markets in EMEA. Based in either Berlin or London, you will work closely with Works Councils, unions and senior business leaders to ensure compliance while supporting rapid business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end labor relations strategy for Germany across all corporate lines of business, including AWS and Amazon Stores.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with Works Councils, managing regular cadence and productive engagement.
• Lead co‑determination, consultation and information obligations, negotiating works agreements on topics such as IT tools, working time, remote work and restructuring.
• Advise senior leaders and People Experience & Technology (PXT) partners on workforce changes, restructurings, tool deployments and policy implementation.
• Collaborate with Legal, PXT and business leadership to align on risk mitigation and compliance from day one.
• Contribute to GCER‑wide frameworks, playbooks and regional initiatives, sharing German best practices across EMEA.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in German labor law, co‑determination and Works Council engagement.
• Proven track record of negotiating and managing works agreements in a complex corporate environment.
• Strong advisory capability to senior business stakeholders.
