Energy Marshal – Hazardous Energy Management

About the role

The Energy Marshal ensures safe oversight and control of hazardous energy on construction and commissioning sites. You will manage the Energy Isolation Program, verify compliance with NFPA70E standards, and coordinate isolation activities across multiple campuses.

Key responsibilities

• Provide oversight and control of hazardous energy in line with DIV01 standards and local legislation.
• Plan and coordinate Energy Isolation activities for construction and commissioning (Level 1‑3 HRA planning).
• Audit General Contractor Permit‑to‑Work systems and LOTO procedures for compliance with industry standards.
• Verify General Contractor processes against NFPA70E 2018 safety specifications.
• Manage non‑standard situations such as LOTO device removal, cable strikes, and accident investigations.
• Coordinate parallel Energy Isolation activities across campus sites and support implementation of isolation standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of experience with MV switching and DC construction/commissioning standards.
• Deep expertise in LOTO systems and energy isolation procedures.
• Proven ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams and drive compliance.
• Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written.
