Engineering Manager – Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Manager – Infrastructure to lead a high‑impact, remote infrastructure team based in Germany. The role is responsible for evolving internal platforms, CI/CD systems and automation capabilities that enable engineering organisations to deliver software faster and more reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a high‑performing remote infrastructure engineering team, fostering autonomy, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Define and execute strategies for CI/CD platforms, artifact distribution and infrastructure capabilities to support scaling engineering efforts.
• Drive automation initiatives that reduce manual processes, improve reliability and create a zero‑toil environment.
• Guide the adoption of AI‑driven engineering practices for dependency management, incident resolution, cloud optimisation and developer support.
• Own the evolution of internal infrastructure platforms as products, ensuring seamless experience for engineering teams.
• Translate technical needs into actionable roadmaps and collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Review and contribute to architecture decisions, ensuring scalability, security and alignment with long‑term goals.
• Support improvements to cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes environments, infrastructure‑as‑code practices and CI/CD workflows.

Required profile

• Proven engineering leader with strong infrastructure expertise.
• Track record of developing engineering talent and managing remote, asynchronous teams.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to align technical strategy with business objectives.
• Strategic thinker who can balance technical depth with product ownership.
