Engineering Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Team Lead to guide a cross‑functional team building the Clue product and its services. You will lead ~5 engineers, create an environment where senior engineers thrive, and help over 10 million monthly active users learn about their bodies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop a cross‑functional team of ~5 engineers, fostering autonomy and ownership.
• Partner with product and design to shape scope, challenge assumptions and drive outcome‑oriented delivery.
• Own team and platform health metrics, identify technical debt and champion quality improvements.
• Communicate with business and technical stakeholders to balance requirements and keep the team focused on high‑impact work.
• Stay technical by contributing to small initiatives and supporting engineers without slowing progress.

Required profile

• People leadership experience managing engineers, including senior or staff engineers, with a servant‑leadership mindset.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional agile teams and align product, design and engineering stakeholders.
• Hands‑on background in backend, native mobile or DevOps engineering to engage in technical discussions.
• Delivery‑driven mindset, comfortable making pragmatic trade‑offs and keeping user impact central.
• High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills for navigating change and influencing diverse audiences.
