English Teacher & IB DP Coordinator (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a qualified English Language and Literature teacher for our bilingual secondary school. The role is initially part‑time and may expand to full‑time if you can cover a second subject. Candidates with experience in the IGCSE English A syllabus and the IB DP English curricula are especially welcome, and the position can also include coordination of the IB Diploma Programme.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English Language and Literature to secondary students, adapting lessons for highly proficient learners (English A).
• Develop and deliver curriculum, assess student progress and provide feedback.
• Collaborate closely with the English department and other teaching staff.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student performance.
• Optionally coordinate the IB Diploma Programme, overseeing scheduling, assessment and reporting.

Required profile

• Valid teaching qualification for English in secondary education (TEFL alone is not sufficient).
• Proven experience teaching English A classes.
• Native‑speaker level English proficiency.
• Strong IT skills for using a modern digital learning environment.
• German language knowledge at B2 level or willingness to reach it.
• Motivated, inspiring personality that supports student development.
