Equipment Engineer – Technical Support for Production Facilities

About the role

We are looking for an Equipment Engineer to join our Itzehoe site and provide technical support for production facilities. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability and optimal performance of a group of systems, contributing directly to production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Take full technical responsibility for a defined set of equipment and systems.
• Maintain and repair systems, facilities, and equipment while documenting all work performed.
• Calculate production‑ and system‑specific key performance indicators.
• Coordinate department projects aimed at improving system availability and efficiency.
• Collaborate across teams to drive production improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a master craftsman/technician certification with a technical specialization.
• Experience handling hazardous materials is advantageous.
• Independent, solution‑oriented work approach with strong communication skills.
• High motivation, reliability, and willingness to work on‑call shifts.
• Fluent in German and English.
