Equipment Maintenance Technician

About the role

JD.com is looking for an entry‑level Equipment Maintenance Technician to join its automation logistics team. The position is ideal for recent graduates with a solid mechanical/electrical foundation who want hands‑on experience with sorting and conveyor systems in a fast‑paced, high‑tech environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily inspection, maintenance, and servicing of sorting logistics and automation equipment such as conveyor systems and sorting machines.
• Respond quickly to equipment failures, conduct on‑site troubleshooting and repairs, and minimise downtime.
• Record maintenance data, develop preventive‑maintenance plans, and support equipment optimisation initiatives.
• Strictly follow safety procedures and implement equipment safety‑management requirements.
• Develop and manage spare‑parts inventories.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged; no prior work experience required.
• Strong understanding of both mechanical and electrical fundamentals.
• Basic knowledge of PLCs and automation control systems is a plus.
• Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English for vendor communication and on‑site coordination.
