Equity Research Analyst – Semiconductors (Senior)

About the role

As an Equity Research Analyst focused on semiconductors, you will own coverage of chip makers, equipment suppliers, materials producers and the broader hardware stack that powers AI compute. Working autonomously from day one, you will generate original investment theses for a high‑conviction, concentrated portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct bottom‑up fundamental research on semiconductor companies worldwide.
• Identify asymmetric return opportunities, pitch high‑conviction ideas and track the alpha they generate.
• Combine fundamental judgment with proprietary alternative data, advanced ML and AI models.
• Build detailed financial models based on volume, price, mix and margin drivers.
• Develop relationships with sector experts and management teams to translate conviction into sized positions.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of the semiconductor industry at both technical and business levels.
• 2+ years of investment research experience in semiconductors or a related sector (buy‑side, equity research, private equity, investment banking).
• Proven track record of writing differentiated, contrarian investment theses.
• Comfort with alternative datasets and basic data‑analysis tools.
• Academic background in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or a related technical field.
