Eurofighter Simulator Operational Factors (d/m/w)

About the role

Airbus Defence and Space in Manching is seeking a Eurofighter Simulator Operational Factors (d/m/w). The Operational Factors role supports all operational activities within the Eurofighter Training and Simulation department, focusing on the Pilot Synthetic Training System (PSTS).

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational support for PSTS integration and acceptance testing.
• Conduct operational tests in the Eurofighter cockpit and Instructor Operator Station.
• Support PSTS operational tests for Air/Air and Air/Surface scenarios.
• Assist national and international PSTS rollout activities.
• Explore new technologies to improve training and follow up on concept discussions with customers.
• Attend relevant technical and operational meetings.
• Support Germany national PSTS upgrade projects, networked combat training, synthetic environment development, and VR training solutions.

Required profile

• Former fast‑jet Pilot or Weapon Systems Officer (WSO) with instructor or weapon‑instructor qualification.
• Operational experience in modern combat jets and ability to work independently within set guidelines.
• Experience in national or international pilot training programmes.
• Familiarity with training systems, simulators and aircraft systems.
• Experience working with international military customers and industry partners.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
