Europe Communications Manager

About the role

Canva is looking for a Europe Communications Manager to lead its communications across France, Germany and Spain. Based in Germany, you will shape the narrative for three of Canva’s biggest European markets while collaborating with EMEA and global teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and execute the communications strategy for France, Germany and Spain, covering product, technology, corporate and consumer news.
• Build and maintain strong media relationships with reporters and editors in each market.
• Manage local agency partners in Germany and Spain, guiding creative direction and ensuring impactful results.
• Develop and support a bench of local spokespeople, preparing them for media interviews and events.
• Partner with sales, growth and partnership teams to align communications with business objectives.
• Serve as the bridge between Canva’s global and local communications teams, ensuring consistent and culturally relevant storytelling.

Required profile

• Extensive communications experience across European markets, especially France, Germany and Spain.
• Proven track record of securing top‑tier media coverage and managing agency partners.
• Strong media‑relations network with senior journalists, editors and industry influencers.
• Experience developing integrated communications strategies spanning product, corporate, executive and consumer narratives.
• Solid B2B and AI communications background with the ability to translate complex topics into locally relevant stories.
• Ability to operate across multiple markets simultaneously while balancing competing priorities.
