Executive Director, Trade and Working Capital

About the role

SCIB is looking for an Executive Director, Trade and Working Capital based in Frankfurt. The role leads global sales, origination and management of a customer cluster in the DACH and Nordics region, with full P&L and people‑management responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Originate new Trade and Working Capital business through client outreach and relationship development.
• Coordinate commercial plans, financial analyses and pitches with relationship managers and internal stakeholders such as Product, Working Capital Advisory, Private Debt, Compliance, Legal, IT and Operations.
• Maintain awareness of sector trends and position cross‑sell opportunities across Santander’s working capital suite.
• Deliver client presentations, drive sales initiatives and manage the client journey from sale to implementation.
• Oversee transaction approval and execution while ensuring profitability and adherence to internal governance.
• Manage and develop the existing portfolio to enhance revenue and meet profitability targets.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of banking experience with a focus on Trade and Working Capital instruments.
• 4‑5 years of customer‑facing or sales experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• Fluent in English and German; additional languages a plus.

Required skills

• Expertise in Trade and Working Capital products, structures and geographies.
• Knowledge of corporate banking.
• Basic understanding of legal structures.
