Experienced Avionics Mechanic – Boeing/Airbus (Leipzig, Germany)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Aircraft Avionics Mechanic to join our team at Leipzig Airport (LEJ) on a long‑term contract. The role involves hands‑on maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of avionics systems on Boeing and/or Airbus aircraft.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled avionics inspections, testing and repairs on Boeing and Airbus platforms.
• Diagnose faults using specialised test equipment and update maintenance records.
• Collaborate with engineering and flight crews to ensure aircraft airworthiness.
• Adhere to safety, quality and regulatory standards throughout all work.
• Participate in shift rotations, including 14‑day on/off, 7‑day on/off or 12‑hour day/night patterns as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience with aircraft avionics, preferably on Boeing or Airbus types.
• Ability to work on a personal Limited company for invoicing.
• Flexibility to adapt to negotiable shift patterns.
• Willingness to obtain B2 authorisations if not already held.

Required skills

• Maintenance of Boeing aircraft avionics.
• Maintenance of Airbus aircraft avionics.
• Use of avionics test and diagnostic equipment.
• B2 authorisation (or ability to acquire).
