Facility & Maintenance Manager

About the role

Generator Berlin Prenzlauer Berg is looking for an exceptional Facility & Maintenance Manager to lead all installation, repair and upkeep activities across the property. You will ensure that the hotel’s physical resources are safe, functional and aligned with budgetary constraints, contributing to an unforgettable guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead engineering and maintenance operations, covering building fabric, plant, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
• Coordinate safety and security procedures, ensuring compliance with health & safety, building and fire‑safety regulations.
• Plan and supervise repair, installation and fire‑safety projects, preparing the hotel for regular audits.
• Maintain detailed maintenance logs and produce daily activity reports.
• Manage relationships with contractors and service providers, overseeing inspections and issue resolution.
• Monitor and optimise budgets, controlling maintenance and personnel expenses.
• Develop and train the maintenance team to meet performance standards.
• Communicate goals clearly to motivate the team and achieve 100% operational readiness.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facility or maintenance management, preferably within hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of local health & safety, building and fire‑safety legislation.
• Ability to manage budgets and optimise costs.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Hands‑on approach with a passion for delivering high‑quality physical environments.
